History of Beba
Brothers Ari and Pablo Schor opened the restaurant back in 2019. They named it Beba after their beloved grandmother, Vera, who everyone affectionately called “Beba”.
Before opening their own place, both brothers honed their skills in Montreal’s famous Liverpool House and Joe Beef group. Ari handles the kitchen, while Pablo manages the wine list and front-of-house. Together, they built an intimate 28-seat joint that brings their family’s rich heritage straight to your plate.
Why is Beba famous?
The Legendary Caviar Knish: Their signature potato knish topped with rich Imperial Osetra caviar is iconic. It’s a high-low food pairing you won’t forget.
Argentine-Jewish Heritage: The kitchen blends Old World Jewish classics with Italian and Spanish influences. You get bold, honest flavors made from pristine local ingredients.
Mastered Seafood and Offal: From cured mackerel montadito to perfectly braised offal, chef Ari transforms simple ingredients into pure magic.
Intimate Vibe & Natural Wine: With only 28 seats, the energy is personal, warm, and electric. Plus, Pablo’s curated wine list pairs flawlessly with every bite.
